31:7, 8. List the promises God made to Joshua. What conditions of success was
he given? What picture of Joshua is given in this chapter?

What principle, warnings or encouragement to be found here can I
apply to my own life?
Note. Verse 12-18. These Israelites wished to settle east of
Jordan, but had promised to help in the conquest of Canaan.
