- Think over the attitudes of heart described in 26:3, 4, 8, 9, 13 and 19, and ask yourself if you share this trust and faith in God. What should be the response of God's people to His mercy and judgment?

The prophet's answer to the people's plaint is the promise of resurrection. His words here and in 25:8 are among the clearest utterances of the Old Testament upon that subject.2. 27:1.
